The Law of One (The Ra Material)

The Law of One (The Ra Material)

Carla Rueckert & Don Elkins · 1981–1984

The Law of One (1981–1984) is a five-volume series of transcripts from L/L Research: hypnotist Don Elkins’ questions answered by a voice channeled through Carla Rueckert, identifying itself as ‘Ra, a humble messenger of the Law of One.’ It is the most systematic text in the channeling literature — and the real-world ancestor of the codex’s Shift and Filter.

The codex is speculative fiction; this source and the record below are real.

WHAT IT SAYS

Densities and the harvest

Ra’s cosmos runs on ‘densities’ — octaves of consciousness — and Earth is approaching a harvest from third to fourth density, a sorting of souls by polarity: service to others versus service to self. The codex’s Filter is this doctrine in a gold frame.

A hidden history of contact

Ra claims ancient interventions — pyramids as teaching instruments, visitations recast as gods — and a present quarantine of Earth. The codex’s ‘real history’ panels follow this architecture closely.

Why it reads differently

Five volumes of the same three people asking and answering, session after session, with an internal vocabulary that stays consistent for a thousand pages. Whatever one concludes about its source, it is not a pamphlet — it is a system.

WHERE IT CAME FROM — THE RECORD

L/L Research published the sessions between 1981 and 1984; Carla Rueckert channeled, Don Elkins asked, Jim McCarty transcribed. The transcripts are freely available from the organization to this day. There is no external evidence for Ra’s claims, and the channeling format is itself the genre’s debated question — the record states plainly: the sessions happened, the text is real, the cosmology is the claim.

HOW THE CODEX USES IT

The codex’s Shift — the frequency transition, the sorting, the watchers — is the Law of One’s harvest doctrine modernized. Chapter VII maps the correspondence term by term: density to frequency, harvest to Filter, wanderers to starseeds. The Grounded Edition’s rule applies: the doctrine is the codex’s own; the lineage is documented.

QUESTIONS READERS ASK

What is the Law of One?

A five-volume series of channeled transcripts (1981–84) from L/L Research in which an entity called Ra describes a cosmology of densities, polarity, and an approaching ‘harvest’ of souls.

What is the harvest in the Law of One?

The sorting of souls at the end of third density — those oriented to ‘service to others’ graduate to fourth density; the rest repeat the cycle elsewhere. It is the direct ancestor of the codex’s Filter.

Who wrote the Ra material?

The sessions were conducted by Don Elkins with Carla Rueckert as the channel and Jim McCarty as scribe, published by L/L Research. Its authorship is the genre’s standing question — the transcripts are documented; the source is claimed.

How does the codex use it?

Chapter VII (Pleiadian Disclosure) treats it as the counter-codex’s spine: the Shift, the Filter and the watchers all map onto Ra’s system, and the chapter shows the mapping explicitly.
