Real people, dead and documented — the authors and actors the mythology itself cites. Every file pairs the canon’s reading with the public record: what they actually wrote, did, and left behind. The codex’s rule applies here in full: the mythology is the mythology; the record is the record; and the two are never allowed to pretend to be each other.
